On February 13, the government launched a mobile app, namely ‘Khanan Prahari, and a web app, the Coal Mine Surveillance and Management System (CMSMS).

Important Points:

• Khanan Prahari is a mobile app of the Ministry of Coal to report illegal coal mining.
• It has been launched to report unauthorized coal mining activities so that monitoring and appropriate action can be taken by the concerned law and order enforcing authority.
• CMSMS has been developed to take transparent action to curb illegal mining and use of space technology as an e-governance initiative of Government of India.

सरकार ने 13 फरवरी 2023 को 'खनन प्रहरी' नाम से एक मोबाइल ऐप और एक वेब ऐप कोल माइन सर्विलांस एंड मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम (CMSMS) लॉन्च किया।

• खनन प्रहरी अवैध कोयला खनन की रिपोर्ट करने के लिए कोयला मंत्रालय का एक मोबाइल ऐप है।
• इसे अनधिकृत कोयला खनन गतिविधियों की सूचना देने के लिए शुरू किया गया है ताकि संबंधित कानून और व्यवस्था लागू करने वाले प्राधिकरण द्वारा निगरानी और उचित कार्रवाई की जा सके।
• CMSMS को अवैध खनन पर अंकुश लगाने और अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग पर भारत सरकार की ई-गवर्नेंस पहल के रूप में पारदर्शी कार्रवाई करने के लिए विकसित किया गया है।
