Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched 'OneWeb India-2 mission'from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota on 26 March.

• Under a commercial agreement with New Space India Ltd, ISRO will launch 72 satellites from UK-based Network Access Associates Ltd and place them in low Earth orbit.
• New Space is the commercial wing of ISRO.
• The first set of 36 satellites was launched on 23 October 2022 by an LVM3 M2 launch vehicle.
• In the second mission on 26 March, the remaining 36 satellites weighing approximately 5805 kg were placed into a 450 km circular low earth orbit by the LVM3 M3 launch vehicle.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new International Telecommunication Union (ITU) field office and innovation center in India on March 22 in New Delhi.

Important Points:

• India had signed an agreement with ITU in March 2022 for setting up the Area Office.
• The regional office in India has also envisaged an innovation centre, which makes it unique among other regional offices of ITU.
• The regional office, which is fully funded by India, is located on the second floor of the Center for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) building in Mehrauli in the national capital.
• The ITU field office will serve India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan and Iran, enhancing coordination among nations and promoting mutually beneficial economic cooperation in the region.

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. has signed an MoU with the Indian Army for setting up Green Hydrogen Projects in its establishments on Build, Own and Operate (BOO) model.

INS Sujatha, a ship based at Southern Naval Command, Kochi visited Port Maputo, Mozambique from 19 to 20 March 2023 as a part of overseas deployment.

• About 40 personnel from the Mozambican Navy visited the ship for cross deck training.
• This included a tour of the training facilities, briefing on diving ops, training on VBSS and light weapons, visual communication and maintenance of machinery and onboard sanitation.

• The ship was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 3 November 1993.

On March 21, the 2nd Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) meeting under India's G20 chairmanship began in Udaipur, Rajasthan and will continue for three days.

Important Points:

• The focus of the meeting is to identify relevant policies and best practices for mobilising sustainable finance to help ensure global growth and stability.
• More than 90 delegates from G20 member states, guest countries and various international organisations participated in the event.
• The first meeting of the Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) was held in Guwahati on February 2 and 3 this year, and the third and fourth meetings will be held in Mahabalipuram and Varanasi, respectively.

21-23 मार्च 2023 को दूसरी सस्टेनेबल फाइनेंस वर्किंग ग्रुप (SFWG) की बैठक भारत की G20 अध्यक्षता के तहत राजस्थान के उदयपुर में आयोजित की गई।

• बैठक का केंद्र-बिंदु वैश्विक विकास और स्थिरता सुनिश्चित करने में मदद के लिए स्थायी वित्त जुटाने के लिए प्रासंगिक नीतियों और सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं की पहचान करना है।
• इस आयोजन में G20 के सदस्य देशों, अतिथि देशों और विभिन्न अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठनों के 90 से अधिक प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया।
• सस्टेनेबल फाइनेंस वर्किंग ग्रुप (SFWG) की पहली बैठक इस साल 2 और 3 फरवरी को गुवाहाटी में हुई थी, और तीसरी और चौथी बैठक क्रमशः महाबलीपुरम और वाराणसी में होगी।
