Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 September 2022 greeted the Jewish people around the world and specially the people of Israel and its acting Prime Minister Yair Lapid on the Jewish new year of Rosh Hashanah.
Rosh Hashanah is being celebrated around the world from 25 -27 September 2022.
The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, actually means “Head of the Year in Hebrew language
According to the Jews, on this day God created Adam (first male) and Eve (first female) and thus human being came into being.
The place of worship of Jews are called synagogue,
They worship God as Yahweh.
Their Prophet: Moses.
The state of Israel is the only Jewish country in the world. There are around 15.2 million Jewish people in the world of which 46.2 % live in Israel.
After Israel the United States of America has the 2nd largest Jewish population in the world.
According to some estimates there are around 5000 Jews living in India.
