Rani made a comeback to the Indian team during the tour of South Africa earlier this year, when she was included in the 22-man squad.
Rani made a comeback to the squad after last featuring in the FIH Women's Hockey Pro League 2021-22 against Belgium, where she won her 250th cap for India.

Nepalese wicketkeeper-batsman Asif Sheikh will be officially presented with the 2022 Christopher Martin-Jenkins Spirit of Cricket Award by the MCC and the BBC later this year.

The award is presented annually by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), UK in association with the BBC.
The award was created in 2013 by the MCC and the BBC in memory of former MCC President and BBC Test Match Special Commentator Christopher Martin-Jenkins (CMJ), who was passionate about promoting the spirit of the game.
Sheikh was awarded for his sportsmanship shown in the men's T20 International between Nepal and Ireland in February 2022.
It is the first time in the award's history that the MCC and the BBC have invited public nominations for the award.
Sheikh's conduct was declared the winning entry.
Sheikh was also honoured with the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award in January 2022 for his works.

4. ISSF Shooting World Cup begins in Bhopal

ISSF Shooting World Cup was inaugurated on March 21 in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

This is the first ever to be held in India outside the national capital of New Delhi.
Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan was the chief guest.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the new final hall at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy.
Luciano Rossi, President, the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), and Raninder Singh, President, National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) were present in the opening ceremony.
India and China have fielded the biggest teams for the championship.
The ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol Championship will have a total of 10 finals over five consecutive days.
Around 200 shooters from 30 countries will participate in the ISSF Shooting World Cup.

Rohan Bopanna, 43, and Matthew Ebden, 35, defeated Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands and Neil Skupski of Britain 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 in the final in California, United States.
.Before Bopanna, Canadian Daniel Nestor was the oldest player to win an ATP Masters 1000 title after he clinched the 2015 Cincinnati Masters at the age of 42.
Bopanna has so far won 24 ATP titles, including five ATP Masters 1000 titles.
It was his second title this year after winning the Qatar Open with Ebden last month.
Earlier in the Indian Wells semi-finals, the unseeded pair of Bopanna-Ebden defeated defending champions John Isner and Jack Sock of USA 7(8)-6(6), 7(7)-6(2) in the hard court event.
Bopanna, a former world No. 3 in men’s doubles, was 15th in the ATP doubles rankings ahead of the tournament.
The Indian Wells Masters win lifted him to 11th in the live doubles tennis rankings.

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur was present at the opening ceremony at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
As part of the International Women's Day 2023 celebrations, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is organizing the Khelo India Dus Ka Dum tournament from March 10 to 31.
Around 15,000 women athletes from more than 50 cities in the country are participating in the competition. It includes 10 games.
Competitions will be held across 10 different sports - kho kho, wushu, weightlifting, fencing, archery, swimming, basketball, judo, athletics and yogasana.
The tournament aims to provide a platform to women athletes who are unable to participate in national or state level competitions.
It also aims to ensure that competitive sport reaches untapped geographical areas.
9. Karnataka won the Santosh Trophy after 54 years by defeating Meghalaya

Karnataka won the Santosh Trophy for the first time in 54 years after sealing a commanding 3-2 win over Meghalaya in the final at the King Fahd International Stadium in the Saudi Arabia capital, Riyadh on 5 March.

This is the first trophy for Karnataka, having previously won four times as the princely state of Mysore after a gap of 54 years (after 1968–69).
Meghalaya's team reached the finals of this competition for the first time.
Karnataka took the lead in the second minute of the game when Sunil scored against Meghalaya after Robin's long throw.
But Meghalaya equalized in the eighth minute through a penalty.
Karnataka again took the lead in the 19th minute. Jacob John scored a goal in the finishing line to make it 2-1.
Just before half time, Robin Yadav made it 3-1 with a superb free-kick from just outside the box.
In the play-off match before the final, Services beat Punjab 2–0 to take the third place.
10. NADA and NCERT tie up to strengthen value based sports education

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) signed an MoU on 3 March 2023 to strengthen value-based sports education among school children and teachers.
