Madhya Pradesh ups women quota in state services to 35%
Why in news?
- The state cabinet has cleared a proposal to increase the reservation for women in all state government services from the current 33 per cent to 35 per cent.
Key features:
Other states having women reservation in government jobs 30%or more than 30%:
- In 2016, the government extended the 35% reservation for women to all government jobs in Bihar for which direct recruitment is made.
- At the stage of direct recruitment, 30 percent posts shall be reserved for women candidates in accordance with the provision of Chhattisgarh Civil Service (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997.
2. Tripura's CM Manik Saha Launches CM-SATH Scheme

A Minimum Support Price (MSP) has been introduced for four key crops: Ginger, Broom, Turmeric, and Mizo Birdeye Chilli.
Farmers unable to secure market rates higher than the MSP will receive government support to match the declared rate.
A pilot procurement program for Paddy in Kolasib and Mamit districts offers a support rate of Rs. 30 per kg.

10. State Cabinet Approves Five Additional POCSO Fast-Track Courts in West Bengal

The proposal for the new courts was previously submitted by the judicial department and has now been approved by the state cabinet.
