1. R Vishnu Prasad Honoured as Most Eminent Scientist of the Year 2022

R Vishnu Prasad has been conferred with the most prestigious scientific honour Indian Achievers Award for the year 2022 by Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

So far 69 patents have been registered in the name of R Vishnu Prasad.
The award is given for outstanding contributions in various fields including culture, science, sports and innovation.
Vishnu Prasad, who has contributed to smart cities, solid waste management, large scale water treatment, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, was selected by a jury headed by Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra.
Apart from this, Paramveer Chakra Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar, hockey player late Major Dhyan Chand, film actress Shruti Haasan, Padma Shri Alok Mehta, boxer Vijender Singh, Olympic athlete and Padma Shri Sudha Singh, Paralympic coach Satyanarayan, IPS Yashasvi Yadav, Bhushan Kumar and actor Darshan 31 people including Kumar have been honoured with the Indian Achievers Award.
2. Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar-2023

President of India, Droupadi Murmu conferred the “Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar” instituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development to 11 exceptional children on 23 January.

This year the award has been given to 11 children from 11 States/UTs, who represent the diversity of the nation for their exceptional achievements.
This year's awardees include one in the category of bravery and social service, two in the category of innovation, three in sports and four in art and culture.
Out of 11 awardees, 5 are girls and 6 are boys.
Smriti Zubin Irani also released a book "Young Heroes of India" on Bal Veer during the ceremony, who presented the first copy to the President of India.
Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar
Every year, the Government of India presents the 'Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar' for exceptional achievement to children in the age group of 5 to 18 years.
The awards are given to the children for their achievements in 6 categories - Art & Culture, Bravery, Innovation, Scholastic, Social Service and Sports which are worthy of national recognition.
Each awardee receives a medallion, a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000/-, a certificate and a citation.

3. Subhash Chandra Bose Disaster Management Award-2023

OSDMA was established in 1999 after the huge cyclone tragedy in Odisha.
OSDMA had worked effectively during various cyclones like Hudhud (2014), Fani (2019), Amphan (2020) and Odisha flood (2020).
Lunglei Fire Station -
Lunglei Fire Station efficiently and effectively controlled the massive fire that broke out in the uninhabited forest areas surrounding Lunglei town on 24 April 2021.
The personnel deployed at Lunglei Fire Station worked tirelessly for more than 32 hours to douse the fire with the help of local citizens, during which they motivated and trained them to douse the fire on the spot.
Subhash Chandra Bose Disaster Management Award
The Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has instituted the Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar to recognize and honour the invaluable contribution and selfless service rendered by individuals and organisations in India in the field of disaster management.
This is an annual award.
This award is announced every year on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (23 January).
In this award, Rs 51 lakh cash and a certificate is given to the selected organisation in the institutional category and Rs 5 lakh cash and a certificate to the winner in the individual category.
4. Goa Manohar International Airport wins Best Sustainable Greenfield Airport Award

5. Nepalese ophthalmologist Dr Sanduk Ruit wins Bahrain's Isa Award for Service to Humanity

Himalayan Cataract Project Co-Founder and noted Nepali ophthalmologist Dr Sanduk Ruit has won the Isa Award-2021-2022 for Service to Humanity, a top civilian award of Bahrain.

The award carries a cash prize of US$1 million, a certificate of merit and a gold medallion.
Dr. Ruit is a pioneer in providing high quality microsurgical procedures in remote eye camps.
He has been instrumental in making modern eye care affordable and accessible to countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
He is fondly called "God of Sight" for saving the sight of 1,20,000 eyes.
The biennial award will be presented at a ceremony to be held next month at the Isa Cultural Center in Manama under the patronage of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Board of Trustees considered the findings of the field research team's visit and decided that Dr. Ruit work deserves this award for service to humanity because of the originality of his efforts and his success.
Dr. Ruitt has trained and qualified more than 650 doctors to treat and prevent blindness.
He is a recipient of the Padma Shri award by the Government of India, the National Order of Merit of Bhutan as well as the Ramon Magsaysay Award.
The Government of Australia conferred on him "The Order of Australia" in 2007.
In 2016, he was awarded the "Asian Game Changer Award" by the Asia Society of New York.

6. ‘Naanera’ bags ‘Golden Kailasha’ award in Ajanta-Ellora film festival

The Rajasthani film Nanera (Nanaji's house) revolves around the main character Manish.
After the death of Manish's father, his maternal uncle starts taking decisions about his life.
The life of Manish, the main character of the story, takes a new turn when he falls in love with his cousin. Because of this, his family finds themselves in trouble.
'Nanera' has also received the award for Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing.
The award was announced by N Vidyashankar, jury member of FIPRESCI (Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique The International Federation of Film Critics) India.
Under the award for the best film, 'Nanera' was given a trophy and a cash prize of one lakh rupees.
The eighth edition of the film festival was organised in Aurangabad from 11 to 15 January.
Apart from this, Akshata Pandavapura of Kannada film 'Koli Isru' (Chicken Curry) won the Best Child Artist and Best Actress award.
The film revolves around a young mother in a village who must somehow fulfill her daughter's desire to eat chicken curry.
Jeetu Kamal was awarded the best actor award for the Bengali film 'Aparajito' at the film festival.
55 films were screened in this five-day film festival.

8. America's R Bonnie Gabriel became Miss Universe 2022

9. Rajamouli's film 'RRR' wins Critics' Choice Award for Best Song

The film 'Rise, Roar, Revolt' ie RRR recently received the Golden Globe Award for the song 'Naatu Naatu'.

10. Best Agripreneurs honoured on National Youth Day

On the occasion of National Youth Day, 82 best Agripreneurs trained under Agri-Clinic and Agri-Business (AC&ABC) scheme were hounered for their significant contribution through Agri-Clinic and Agri-business services to the farmers.

The Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Scheme is a mega flagship scheme of the Government, which was launched by the Government of India in April 2002 in collaboration with NABARD.
It aims to transform unemployed youth into self-employed agri-entrepreneurs through 45 days free residential training in different parts of the country along with access to loans and subsidies from banks.
The scheme is being implemented by the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management, Hyderabad through a network of 136 Nodal Training Institutes (NTIS) spread across all states.
