- It is a pan India bike ride by 75 bikers at 75 important places.
The event is historic as bikers will cover a distance of over 18,000 kms.
Ten women from India will also participate in the event along with four international bike riders from different professions.
Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Nisith Pramanik, Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi and Members of Parliament were present at the event.

Olympic gold medalist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra on September 8 achieved another historic feat, becoming the first Indian to win the coveted Diamond League Final title in Switzerland.
IMPORTANT FACTS -
- Neeraj Chopra has become the first Indian to win the Diamond League trophy.
He overtook Czech Republic's Jakob Vadleccho with a throw of 88.44m.
Neeraj's first throw was a foul, while the second throw measured 88.44 metres, which was enough for him to win the title.
Neeraj threw third throw 88, fourth 86.11, fifth 87 and sixth throw of 83.60 meters.
Germany's Julian Weber finished third with 83.73m.
With this win, Neeraj won the prize money of Rs 23.98 lakh and also captured the Diamond Trophy.
Neeraj did not participate in the first Diamond League held in Doha and the third in Silesia.
In Stockholm, Neeraj had made a national record with a throw of 89.94m, but he could only win a silver medal.
He became the winner in Lausanne and now he has also won the gold medal in the finals.
4. Harmanpreet Singh nominated for FIH Player of the Year Award -2021-22

Indian hockey player Harmanpreet Singh has been selected among the five players nominated for the Men's Player of the Year award for the 'FIH Hockey Stars Awards 2021-22' on 6 September.

Indian team vice-captain Harmanpreet was named along with Arthur de Sloover and Tom Boon (Belgium), Niklas Wellen (Germany) and Thierry Brinkman (Netherlands) for the FIH Men's Player of the Year award.
There is no Indian in the list of players nominated for the FIH Women's Player of the Year award.

5. Subroto Cup International Football Tournament begins in New Delhi

The Subroto Cup International Football Tournament kicked off today on 6 September evening in New Delhi.
IMPORTANT FACTS -
- The 61st edition of the tournament will be staged across four venues in Delhi till 13th of October.
The first match of the tournament is being played between NCC vs Chandigarh.
The matches of the tournament will be played at Dr BR Ambedkar Stadium, Tejas Football Ground, Subroto Park and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
It has not been organised for two years due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
The tournament will be organised in three categories including sub-junior boys (U-14), junior girls (U-17) and junior boys (U-17).
A total of 92 teams will participate in the three categories, in which an international team will also participate in the junior boys' section as a team from Bangladesh.

Subroto Cup International Football Tournament :
It is an annual school football tournament that was inaugurated in 1960 by the first Indian Air Force Chief, Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee.
It is organised by Subroto Mukherjee Sports Education Society (SMSES) and the Indian Air Force.
It has been the basis for the achievements of many former Indian football stalwarts like Shyam Thapa and Bhaichung Bhutia.
International stalwarts such as Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos (both in 2016) and Pele (2015) have graced the tournament as guest of honor in its earlier editions.
Prize of Tournament :
The total prize money of the tournament is more than Rs 23 lakh.
In addition, a selection committee of eminent footballers will select 25 outstanding players in each category to award the scholarship.
All the selected players will be awarded a scholarship (one-time grant) of Rs 25000 in Junior Boys and Junior Girls category and Rs 15000 for Sub-Junior Boys category.

20 snake boats (Chundan Vallam) will compete for the coveted trophy.
The competitions are organized in nine categories in which around 77 boats including snake boats will participate.

Winner of Nehru Trophy Boat Race
Pallathuruthi Boat Club won the 68th Nehru Trophy Boat Race for the third time in a row.
The winning snake boat, named 'Mahadevikad Kattil Thekethil Chandan' crossed the finishing line in 4 minutes and 30 seconds, while the snake boat 'Nadubhagam Chandan' of NCDC Boat Club finished second.
With the photo-finish win, the Pallathuruthy Boat Club topped the first round of the second edition of the Champions Boat League (CBL-2), an official Kerala Tourism.
About Nehru Trophy Boat Race
The Nehru Trophy Boat Race is organised every year.
Snake boats can be seen in this which is one of the most popular and famous tourist attractions of the state.
It is part of an old tradition that refers to the rivalry between nations over the monopoly of the spice trade.
Called chundam vallam or snake boat, the canoe carries 100 to 150 expert sailors and the boats are up to 38 metres long.
Both male and female sailors participate in the Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
The sailors who win the competition are awarded a silver trophy.
It started with a boat race in 1952 on the banks of the Punnamada Lake near the town of Alappuzha in Kerala to welcome Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.

- She achieved this feat in the women's 200m butterfly at the 8th edition of the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships 2022 being held in Lima, Peru.
The only other Indian to qualify for the final at the World Juniors is Srihari Nataraja who finished sixth in the 50m backstroke in 2019.
In the heats, Fernandes finished fourth with a time of 2:18:18, and finished 8th overall to make her place in the final.
He set a new national record.
Earlier, the record stood at 2:18:39, which was set by Apeksha at the Junior Nationals held in June 2022.

FINA World Junior Swimming Championships :
The 8th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships is being held from 30 August to 4 September 2022 at the Videna Aquatic Centre in Lima, Peru.
The competition is open to girls in the age group of 14 to 17 and boys between the ages of 15 and 18.
India's 17-year-old Vedant Madhavan is leading the Indian men's side in this year's championship, while 15-year-old Ridhima Veerendrakumar from Karnataka is leading the women's side.
