Keshab Mahindra, Chairman Emeritus of Mahindra & Mahindra, passed away at the age of 99 on 12 April.

According to Forbes, he was India's oldest billionaire at the time of his death with a net worth of $1.2 billion.
He retired in 2012 after serving as the chairman for 48 years.
During his tenure, the Mahindra Group expanded beyond automobile manufacturing into other industries such as IT, real estate, financial services and hospitality.
He was instrumental in establishing partnerships with global giants such as Willys Corporation, Mitsubishi, International Harvester, United Technologies, and British Telecom.
Born in Shimla on October 9, 1923, Keshab Mahindra earned a degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He joined the Mahindra & Mahindra Group in 1947 and became its chairman in 1963.
