15th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference & Expo 2022 to be held in Kochi, Kerala

The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in collaboration with the Government of Kerala will organise the 15th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference & Expo 2022 in Kochi, Kerala from 4-6 November 2022. 

The Conference will be jointly inaugurated by the Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan. 

The genesis of UMI is from the National Urban Transport Policy of the Government of India, 2006 (NUTP), which lays a very strong emphasis on building capabilities at the State and city level to address the problems associated with urban transport and undertake the task of developing sustainable urban transport systems.

Theme of the conference

Theme of the 15th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference & Expo 2022 : “Azadi@75 – Sustainable AatmaNirbhar Urban Mobility”.

The conference will focus on designing and implementing efficient, high quality and sustainable transport systems in the cities.
