Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26th January, to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution which came into effect on this day in 1950.
- India will be celebrating 73rd Republic Day in 2022.
- On this day the President of India hoists the National Flag at Rajpath in New Delhi.
- There will be no Foreign Chief Guest on this Republic day due to the corona pandemic. There were no chief guests in 1952,1953, 1966,2021 and 2022.
