  • Celebrated on 1st August annually to recognize AFHQ Civilian Services personnel.

  • Aims to foster spirit-de-corps among civilian employees working with Service personnel in Integrated Service Headquarters, HQ Intergated Defence Staff, and 24 Inter-Services Organisations of MoD.

History:

  • AFHQ cadres foundation laid on August 01, 1942.

  • Initially organized decentralized civilian posts/cadre operations under various Service Headquarters and Ministry of Defence and Finance (Defence) Secretariat, controlled by Chief Administrative Officer.
