5. Saudi Arabia Award for Salman Khan

6. P. R. Sreejesh gets World Games Athlete of the Year Award 2021

Former Indian men's hockey team captain and veteran goalkeeperzz, Parattu Raveendran Sreejesh (PR Sreejesh) won the prestigious World Games Athlete of the Year award for 2021.
- He is the second Indian after Indian women’s hockey team captain Rani Ramphal to win this award.
- Rani Ramphal won this award in 2020.
- He got 1,27,647 votes in a poll conducted on TheWorldGames.Org . He got the maximum fan votes amongst the 24 nominees.
- In second place was Spain's Sport Climbing ace Albert Ginés Lopez, who got 67,428 votes.
7. Koozhangal (Pebbles) wins best film award at 20th Dhaka International Film Festival

Indian movie Koozhangal(Pebbles in English) won the best film award in the Asian Film category at the recently concluded 20th Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.
The Koozhangal (or Pebble in English) is a Tamil movie directed by Vinothraj PS . This movie was also India's official entry in the international feature film category at the 2022 Academy Awards(oscar).

The Best actor Award: Jayasurya for the Ranjith Sankar-directed film ‘Sunny’.
Special audience award: It was given to Indian film Semkhor, which was directed by noted Assamese actor Aimee Baruah.
The best script writer award: It was given to Indranil Roychowdhury and Sugata Sinha for India-Bangladesh film Mayar Jonjal. The movie was directed by Indranil Roychowdhury.
8. Gallantry Award and other Military Honours 2022
On the eve of Republic Day 2022 (i.e. 25th January 2022) the President and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ram Nath Kovind approved award of 317 Gallantry and other Defence decorations to Armed forces personnels.
- The President honours the country’s military personnel for their show of gallantry and valour with a total of six awards: Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, Vir Chakra, Ashoka Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Shaurya Chakra.

9. Padma Awards 2022

Ahead of Republic Day 2022, the Government of India on 25th January 2022 announced the Padma Awards. Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian awards of the country which is conferred in three categories, i.e. Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
- A total of 4 Padma Vibhushans, 17 Padma Bhushans and 107 Padma Shri awards have been conferred this year. 34 of the awardees are women and the list also includes 10 persons from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI and 13 Posthumous awardees.
- These awards are conferred by the President of India at the ceremonial functions which are held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March / April every year.
Padma Vibhushan (4):
This award is awarded for exceptional and distinguished services.
- Former Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, India’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat, Hindustani Classical vocalist Prabha Atre and Radheshyam Khemka of Gita Press have been named for the Padma Vibhushan.
- Apart from Gen. Rawat, Singh and Khemka have been conferred the award posthumously.

10. Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually interacted with the 29 winners of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar on 24th January 2022 and awarded them certificates digitally using blockchain technology.
- Blockchain Technology was used for the first time for giving certificates to awardees.
- Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given as recognition to children with exceptional abilities and outstanding achievement in 6 fields of innovation, scholastic achievements, sports, arts and culture, social service and bravery.
