Direct tax collection grew by 68%

Government of India Target for tax collection for 2021-22 

Government has set a tax collection target of Rs 22.2 lakh crores, an increase of 9.5% as compared to the last financial year 2020-21.

Out of this the target for Direct tax has been around Rs 11 lakh crore 

• The target for personal Income tax is Rs 5.61 lakh cores 
• The target for corporate tax collection is Rs 5.47 lakh crores

The target for Indirect tax collection is Rs 11.2 lakh crores.

•  The target for Government share of GST Rs 6.30 lakh crore 
• The target for excise duty collection is Rs 3.35 lakh crore 
• The target for custom duty collection is Rs .1.36 lakh crore.
