India to host u-18 and u-19 SAFF Championship 2022

All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced that India will host the Under-18 Women’s Championship 2022 in March and Under-19 Women’s Championship 2022 in July-August.

• The SAFF U-18 Women's Championship will begin on March 3 while the final is slated to take place on March 14, 2022.
• The five teams (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and hosts India) face each other once in a round-robin format, before the top two places square off for the final.
• Meanwhile, SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship will commence on July 25, with the final set to take place on August 3, 2022.
• A total of six teams - Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and hosts India are set to participate in the tournament.

SAFF u-18 Women’s Championship:

The SAFF U-18 Women's Championship is an association football tournament for women's national teams under the age of 18.

• There are a total 7 teams, out of which Bangladesh is the most successful team.
• Participating Nations: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
