Indian compound archer Prathamesh Jawkar won a silver medal in his first appearance at the 2023 Archery World Cup Final in Hermosillo, Mexico.

Jawkar defeated world number one Mike Schloesser for the second time in four months.
In the final, Javkar faced Denmark's Mathias Fullerton, resulting in a 148–148 tie. Fullerton won the gold medal by the slimmest of margins.
Another Indian archer Abhishek Verma lost to Mike Schloesser in the match (150-149).
