Meghalaya govt launches project to promote music, support budding artists

The music project was launched to promote music and support emerging artists in the northeastern state of Meghalaya.

  • Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma unveiled the project while presenting the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' to state music icon Lou Mazow.

  • This project will help at the grassroots level to provide support to the artists for out-of-state programs.

  • This program has been started to encourage and provide a platform to the musicians in the state and link it with tourism.
