  • Sumit Mukherjee was the only railway staff member in the 24-member Indian contingent.

  • The games were divided into four categories: Open, Women's, Mixed and Senior, and Sumit represented India in the Open category.

  • Sumit Mukherjee had earlier won a bronze medal at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games and the 4th Asia Cup Bridge Championships to be held in Jakarta in 2022.
