  • He was one of the founders of Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia University.

What is the Unani System of Medicine?

  • Unani medicine is an alternative medicine system.

  • It originated in ancient Greece.

  • This includes the use of herbal remedies, dietary habits, and complementary therapies.

  • Hippocrates is considered the father of this medical method.

  • In India, this system of medicine started with the establishment of the Delhi Sultanate in the 13th century.
