FIH Hockey 5S: Indian Men's Team Beats Poland 6-4 In Final To Win Title

India defeated Poland 6-4 to clinch the title of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Hockey 5-S Championship held for the first time.
The tournament was held in Lausanne, Switzerland.
In this five-team tournament, India finished first after league matches with 10 points.
The tournament is part of the International Hockey Federation (FIH)'s campaign to popularise hockey through a shorter format.
About Hockey 5-S Championship
Hockey 5-S is a newer and shorter version of hockey played with high speed and high skill.
In this match of a total 20 minutes, there are five players in both the teams.
The playing field for this shorter format is half the size of a regular field.
According to FIH rules, the maximum size for a Hockey 5-S turf will be 55 X 42 m, while the minimum size will be 40 X 28 m.
Recently the World Ranking of Teams 2022 released by the International Hockey Federation
In the men's section, Australia, Belgium and India finished first, second and third respectively.
In the women's category, Netherlands, Argentina and Australia finished first, second and third respectively.
The Indian women's team finished sixth in the rankings.
