About Florence Nightingale
Florence Nightingale is considered the father of the modern nursing movement. She is also known as "The Lady with the Lamp".
Florence's most important contribution was in the Crimean War (1854). When he served the injured by lighting candles in the deep darkness of the night.
He was awarded the Royal Red Cross by Queen Victoria in the year 1869.
He died on August 13, 1910 at the age of 90.
