Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) defeated defending champion Alexander Zverev (Germany) to win the men's singles Madrid Open 2022 title.

• Alcaraz achieved this title by defeating world No. 1 Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

• This is Carlos Alcaraz's fourth title of 2022 and his second Masters 1000 title after Miami 2022.
