World Cancer Day is observed globally every year on 4th February in order to create awareness, inspire change and reduce the global impact of cancer.

• The theme for World Cancer Day 2022 is "Close the Care Gap".
• This day was declared as World Cancer Day by the Union of International Cancer Control (UICC) as a "global uniting initiative."
