Delhi Government relief package for Construction worker

Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal has announced a financial assistance package of Rs 5000 each to the construction workers affected by the ban on construction activity in Delhi due to pollution.

The government will also provide them the minimum wage for the day lost due to ban on construction activity in the city 

Background  to the issue 

The Supreme Court has imposed a ban on the construction activity in Delhi to control pollution in the city.

The  Chief Justice of India N.V.Ramana led Supreme Court  bench had also ordered the Delhi government to provide compensation to the construction worker who became jobless due to the ban on construction activity in Delhi.
