External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar co-chaired the 14th meeting of the India-UAE Joint Commission with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on 1 September.

The External Affairs Minister is on a three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He visited the construction site of a Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, which would be the first traditional temple in the Arabian Peninsula.
He also visited the construction site of Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in UAE.
Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is being constructed by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
The two leaders signed the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) on 18 February and a vision statement was adopted.
