India Tops Medals Tally in 34th International Biology Olympiad, Secures Four Gold Medals

India emerged as the top country in the 34th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) by securing the highest number of medals.
An Overview of the News
This year, India achieved a remarkable feat by winning four gold medals, marking the first time it has achieved an all-gold performance and topped the medal tally in IBO.
The winners from India are:
Megh Chhabda from Maharashtra's Jalna district,
Dhruv Advani from Bengaluru in Karnataka,
Ishan Pednekar from Kota, Rajasthan
Rahit Panda from Risali, Chhattisgarh.
IBO Details
The IBO took place in Al Ain, UAE, from July 3 to 11.
A total of 293 students from 76 different countries participated in the IBO.
Singapore's Achievement
Singapore, along with India, also secured four gold medals, making it the only other country to achieve this feat.
Overall Gold Medals
In the 34th IBO, a total of 29 gold medals were awarded to the participants from various countries.
