In the final match played at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets to win the 15th edition of IPL.

• Gujarat Titans achieved the distinction of becoming the champions in their debut season of IPL.

• The tournament was played from 26 March 2022 to 29 May 2022 at Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium, MCA International Stadium in Maharashtra state.

• 10 teams participated in IPL 2022 for the second time after IPL 2011.

• Lucknow SuperGiants is owned by RPSG Group and Gujarat Titans is owned by CVC Capital.
