His environment-based film 'Maali' was screened at the Indian Film Festival - Melbourne on August 18 and is now officially a part of the Chicago South Asian Film Festival.
The film 'Maali' is based on the journey of a 16-year-old girl, Tulsi, from the serene mountains to the concrete jungle.
Seeing the life of the city, she falls into a state of depression and struggles feeling alone.
The film also portrays the state of mental health deprivation due to increasing urbanisation and endless destruction of nature.
The film, directed by Shiva C Shetty, was highly praised at IFFM for its realistic portrayal of ever-increasing deforestation.
