President Ram Nath Kovind presented one Kirti Chakra and 14 Shaurya Chakras during the Defence Investiture Ceremony (Phase-II) at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on May 31.

• Gallantry Awards were given to Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces and Police Personnel for conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage and utmost devotion to duty.

• He also presented 13 Param Vishisht Seva Medals and 29 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals for eminent service of exceptional order.

• Jammu - Kashmir Police constable Altaf Hussain Bhat was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra.

• Bhat displayed gallantry of the highest order, utmost commitment to duty and made the supreme sacrifice for the nation while killing a terrorist at Ganderbal.
