11 forest service officers at IGNFA test positive for Covid

Eleven of the 48 Indian Forest Service officers, who had gone for a training programme to Lucknow from the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun, tested positive for COVID­19 on their return.

• Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) is an forestry training institute under the Ministry of Environment and Forests of India.
• It was set up as Indian Forest College in 1938  for training senior forest officers.
• In 1987 it was renamed as Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA)  It is situated in the campus of Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun.
